The Piazzetta Natural Heritage Site

Description

The Piazzetta Natural Heritage Site was a project on the borders of a happening and an art installation, taking place from June 25th to 30th 2018 on the Piazzetta of the National Theatre, now Václav Havel Square. During these five days, the Piazzetta became a protected natural heritage site, where visitors could take part in an imaginative game and imagine how nature could transform the plain, stone square. The five-day event included lectures by experts working on the relationship between natural landscape and the city.

By declaring the Piazzetta a natural heritage site, we want to ask what position nature has in the city, what forms it might take, and how it calls for attention even in places that seem inhospitable at first sight.
